December 3th and 4th 2020 the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will perform Loevendie’s orchestral work Flexio (1980) written for the KCO.
It is the first time that the KCO performs Flexio after the premiere in 1980. In the mean time the work was performed by other orchestras.
A few years later in 1984, Loevendie received the American Koussevitzky International Record Award in a Residentie Orkest performance of Flexio conducted by Peter Eötvös. The upcoming KCO performances will be led by the dutch conductor Antony Hermus.
